In just a few short weeks, I will be heading across the world to begin my "semester as a Kiwi." While I make no guarantee that I will hold your interest in my attempt of keeping you all updated on my whereabouts, I will certainly try. Please feel free to stop reading at any time - the mere fact that the idea sparked your interest is in itself miraculous.
As of right now, I am still at JMU working as an intern in the Office of Residence Life and thoroughly enjoying it. I am slowly developing a list of things to pack for New Zealand but the task is rather daunting. When I arrive in February, it will be nearing the end of their summer and heading towards fall. While I would generally know what that means here in the U.S., I'm still a little uncertain of what to pack. I have been told that it can be rather windy (Harrisonburg has prepared me well) and it is common for the temperature to drop 30 degrees in an hour. This seems quite hilarious considering how my friends make fun of me for wanting to break scarves out in mid-August and my electric blanket in October. I suppose its all part of the experience, right? As of right now, I did receive some extremely sexy long underwear for Christmas, which I will indefinitely be sporting.
Love to all! XOXO.
